About us

About Ritzcrete Pty Ltd

Concreting for homeowners across Perth.

Ritzcrete Pty Ltd delivers concreting work for homeowners across Byford, Mundijong, Serpentine and the surrounding suburbs. Most of what goes out the gate is pool surrounds, and the rest is the concrete that sits around a house: driveways, alfresco floors, side paths and the odd shed slab. Exposed aggregate is the finish most people ask for, Kajanni white being the one that gets picked most, with honed and liquid limestone for the jobs that want something smoother underfoot. The pool jobs are the ones that get photographed, because there is nothing better than handing one back the week before summer and knowing the kids are straight in.

You get told at the quote what the prep and the falls need to be for your block, because around a pool that is what decides whether the surround drains or holds water, and it is a lot easier to sort out before the truck is booked. You deal with the same people from the first visit to final sign-off.

Our services

What we do

Our process

How we work

  1. 01

    Look at the yard

A walk around the block before it is priced. Access for the truck and the pump, where the water has to go, and which finish suits the house and the pool.

  2. 02

    Pick the finish

Exposed aggregate, honed or liquid limestone, chosen against your house rather than off a chart, with a straight price for the job as discussed.

  3. 03

    Prep, form and pour

Base compacted, formwork and mesh set, then the pour. The finish is set in the mix at the plant so the first bay matches the last.

  4. 04

    Wash back and clean up

Exposed aggregate washed back the same day, joints cut, sealed once it has dried, and the yard left ready for the family rather than covered in slurry.

FAQs

Common questions

What finish should I put around a pool?

Most of ours are exposed aggregate, and Kajanni white is the one people keep picking because it stays bright and the stone gives grip on wet feet. If you want it smoother, honed aggregate or liquid limestone both work well around a pool, and limestone stays cooler on a hot day.

Do you do driveways or just pool surrounds?

Both. Pool surrounds are the biggest part of the work, but driveways, alfresco floors, side paths and shed slabs are all regular jobs. If it is concrete around a house, ring and ask.

Who does the honing?

We pour it and Platinum Concrete Grinding do the grinding. They are the specialists at it and we work alongside them on those jobs, so you get the pour and the finish done by people who each do that part every week.

How far from Byford do you go?

Byford, Mundijong, Serpentine and Jarrahdale are home turf, and we are regularly through Armadale, Kelmscott and down to Baldivis, Golden Bay and Rockingham. A bit further out is usually fine for a decent sized job, just ask.

How long before we can use it?

You can walk on it after a day or two, and it wants about a week before cars go on a driveway. Pool surrounds get washed back and then sealed once they have dried out, and we tell you at the time when it is right to go.
